Highland Park Mayor Shot In Detroit

(Detroit, MI) -- Highland Park Mayor DeAndre Windom is recovering after he was shot in the leg early Sunday morning inside a club in the city of Detroit. According to police, Windom was an innocent bystander when an argument unrelated to him escalated to someone pulling a gun at the Key Club in the 14-hundred block of Franklin. A 25-year-old Eastpointe man was arrested in the incident. Windom was the only person shot.
