(Detroit, MI) -- The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department says they cited 79 customers for stealing water in just the first three days of July. Those three days alone will cost the department close to 22-thousand dollars that they will now try to collect by assessing fines to those customers. The department has been on a mission in recent weeks trying to collect on late accounts and also issuing shut-off notices. In all the department is owed over 90-million dollars as a result of roughly 90-thousand delinquent accounts in the city.
