Father Of DPS Student Charged For Allegedly Biting Principal

(Detroit, MI) -- The father of a Detroit elementary school student is facing a charge for allegedly hitting and biting a principal. Keron Wilson was arraigned on a misdemeanor count of aggravated assault yesterday. Wilson went to Cooke Elementary School earlier this week to talk with principal Phillip Van Hooks about why his child was not allowed to go on a school trip. He allegedly punched and bit the principal on the forearm when Van Hooks explained why the child was excluded. Wilson faces up to one year in jail if convicted.
