Former New York Lieutenant Governor To Consult In Detroit

(Detroit, MI) -- Richard Ravitch, New York's former Lieutenant Governor, is signing on as an unpaid consultant in Detroit's bankruptcy. Chosen on Friday by Judge Steven Rhodes, Ravitch says he doesn't know yet what sort of advice he'll offer in part because he doesn't know all of the questions the judge will ask him. His new book, "So Much to Do: A Full Life of Business, Politics and Confronting Fiscal Crises," is being published this week and offers some insight into his experience with politicians, Wall Street and labor unions.
