Several Indicted In "Designer Drug" Sweep

(Detroit, MI) -- Nearly two-dozen people from the metro Detroit area have been indicted as part of a nationwide sweep targeting "designer drug" dealers. The indictment identified Austin Pellerito as the head of the local network and authorities reportedly found large quantities of a drug known as "molly" a synthetic form of Ecstasy in the Bloomfield Hills home of another man in the ring. A Nationwide sweep dubbed Project Synergy Two was conducted in 29 states resulting in 150 arrests. According to authorities, the drugs were imported to the United States from several countries in the Middle East and in Asia.
