(Detroit, MI) -- Charges are pending against a suspect in custody for stabbing a 14-year-old boy in the chest during an argument that started on a Detroit city bus. Witnesses reported that the junior high school student came to the defense of another passenger who was berated by the suspect. Police Chief James Craig says an identification by the injured teen at the hospital late Wednesday led to the arrest. According to incident accounts, the teen punched the older man during a tussle off the bus and suffered the critical chest wound after retreating back on board.
