WMU And EMU Raise Tuition

(Detroit, MI) -- Students at Western Michigan University and Eastern Michigan University will see their tuition increase next year. Both schools announced yesterday they were hiking tuition rates by three-point-two-percent for next year. With the increase, both universities hit the cap placed by Governor Rick Snyder and the Legislature in order to avoid being penalized on state funding. The tuition hikes will raise tuition roughly 310-dollars for an in-state freshman at EMU and 330-dollars for an in-state freshman at WMU.
